The GBI issued a Levi’s Call Amber Alert just before 5 a.m. alerting the public to the girls’ disappearance.

“…they had located the two sisters on the side of the road in their county and [they were] not injured,” Wurtz said.

The mother traveled to Walker County to pick up the younger girl and the teen was arrested on a charge of interference with child custody.

“Estephanie will be transported to the Habersham County Sheriff’s Office where her mental status will be evaluated,” Wurtz said.
