ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10)– Eight McDonald’s chains across the Capital Region will be hosting a free backpack giveaway for children in the community. The bags will be filled with essential school supplies to help feel prepared and ready for the upcoming school year.
Participating Locations:
- 31 Holland Avenue in Albany
- August 16 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- 1 Park Plaza in Mechanicville
- August 19 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
- 55 Maple Avenue, Route 9W in Catskill
- August 19 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
- Route 23 and Route 32 in Cairo
- August 20 from 3:30 p.m to 6 p.m.
- 3632 Main Street in Warrensburg
- August 20 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
- 1637 Altamont Avenue in Schenectady
- August 25 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
- 1673 Union Street in Schenectady
- August 25 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
- 149-57 Fairview Avenue Extension in Hudson
- August 25 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
The McDonald’s located at 106 Wolf Road in Albany will be donating backpacks to the recreation department’s school giveaway.
There is a limit of one bag per child at each event. The child must also be present to receive a bag.
