Man shot, killed in north St. Louis' Penrose neighborhood

ST. LOUIS – A man was killed Tuesday morning following a shooting in north St. Louis.

According to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department (SLMPD), the shooting took place a little after 7:15 a.m. on the 4900 block of San Francisco Avenue in north St. Louis’ Penrose neighborhood.

One person has been detained following the shooting, SLMPD said.

Anyone with information on the shooting is advised to contact the Homicide Division at 314-444-5371. Anyone with information who wants to remain anonymous and possibly receive a cash reward is advised to contact CrimeStoppers at 866-371-TIPS (8477).
