KANSAS CITY, Mo. — One man is fighting for his life after a shooting Tuesday night on Kansas City’s northeast side.
Kansas City police said around 11:15 p.m., officers were sent to the area of Independence and Askew avenues for a reported shooting.

When they arrived, they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound. Police said he was taken to a hospital, where he is in serious condition.
Police did not name the man who was shot and did not release any information about a suspect. The investigation is ongoing.
