DERBY, Conn. (WTNH) — A man was charged after threatening a person with a firearm in Derby, police said.
According to police, it started with a verbal dispute between coworkers on Olivia Street, where a person was threatened with a gun by a family member of the coworker.
When the person drove away, 46-year-old Pablo Alexander, of West Haven, allegedly cut off the person with their car, approached them with a gun in their hand and threatened them. Alexander allegedly continued to pursue them when they fled, according to police.

Alexander was arrested, and when authorities searched the vehicle, they found a firearm in his car.
Police also said he smelled like alcohol, but he refused to do a DUI test.
He was charged with carrying a firearm while under the influence of liquor, threatening in the first degree, reckless driving, breach of peace in the second degree and following too closely with the intent to harass.
He was held on a $500,000.00 bond.
