WABASH COUNTY, Ind. (WANE) — Thursday, a man was arrested and charged after being caught following a car chase and foot pursuit.
45-year-old David Odham had active warrants out for his arrest in multiple counties. Indiana State Police were searching for him when an officer located his car and identified Odham as the driver near the area of CR 200 E and CR 1000 S in Lafontaine.
When the officer began pulling him over, Odham, instead of stopping, decided to continue driving. He blew through multiple stop signs, and drove into a nearby field near CR 600 E. The officer ended the chase with a Precision Immobilization Technique (PIT) with his police car.
Odham began trying to run away on foot, but was quickly apprehended. The officer searched Odham’s car and found what is suspected to be marijuana.
On top of his two previous warrants, he faces preliminary charges of:
- Resisting Law Enforcement with a Vehicle- Level 6 Felony
- Criminal Mischief- A Misdemeanor
- Aggressive Driving- A Misdemeanor
- Possession of Marijuana- B Misdemeanor
- Reckless Driving- C Misdemeanor
Odham is being held in the Wabash County Jail.
