LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC 36 NEWS NOW) – Lexington Sporting Club pulled off a comeback in over the Oakland Roots on Saturday night at home.
Oakland struck early, scoring in the 6th minute to take a 1-0 lead. LSC pushed for an equalizer but went into halftime still trailing.
After the break, Cory Burke leveled the match with a diving header. Not long after, Joe Hafferty sealed the comeback, pinging in the winning goal off a cross.
The greens now sit at 7-7-7 and move up to 5th in the USL championship west.
