The Loudoun County Board of Supervisors, along with the Departments of Parks, Recreation and Community Services (PRCS) and Transportation and Capital Infrastructure, will host a Welcome Back to Bles Park – Ribbon Cutting, Reopening & Ready for Fun celebration on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. The public is invited to attend. Bles Park is located at 44830 Bles Park Drive, Ashburn, VA.
Bles Park is a 132-acre park located north of Route 7 and is adjacent to the Potomac River. It includes a portion of the Potomac Heritage National Scenic Trail. The Eastern Loudoun Adult Day Center is also located on the property.
The recently completed improvements project features a fully updated multigenerational playground that includes an Americans with Disabilities Act-accessible surface with inclusive playground features, and an exercise area. Additional upgrades include six new picnic pavilions, sports safety netting, and a canoe/kayak launch along Broad Run. The project also includes a new, expanded parking lot and paved and natural surface walking paths.
Following the ceremony, residents are invited to join the PRCS Trails program team for a short, guided hike to the kayak/canoe launch, enjoy a self-guided story trail hike, and enjoy the updated park playground and other amenities.
The project provides the necessary parking and facility upgrades to meet the needs of park users, while limiting the effects on the natural habitat. The property currently includes four sports fields, paved and natural trails, wetlands/natural areas, a playground and parking.
