Since 2012, IBEW Local 98’s contractors and members have proudly partnered with Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF). As of June 2025, our team has contributed over $215,000, and we’ve further supported their mission by donating time during their annual events—A Stand for Hope (telethon) and Yellow Bucket Patrol (day of caring).
Business Manager Mark Lynch stated:
“IBEW Local 98 will always be ready to help this great foundation in their effort to find a cure for childhood cancer and continue the legacy of one brave little girl, Alexandra (Alex) Scott. We remain committed to standing by them as they fight for tomorrow.”
ALSF Mission:
To change the lives of children with cancer through funding impactful research, raising awareness, supporting families and empowering everyone to help cure childhood cancer.
Childhood cancer is the number one cause of death by disease for children in the United States, but childhood cancer research remains consistently underfunded by the federal government.
Since our founder, Alex, set up her first lemonade stand in 2000, our supporters have helped fill critical research gaps to help find safer, more effective treatments for all kids. Thanks to our supporters, ALSF has:
• Raised more than $300 million since Alex’s first stand and become the largest independent childhood cancer charity in the U.S.
• Funded more than 1,500 cutting-edge research projects at nearly 150 institutions across North America and Europe.• Supported more than 15,000 families through key programs like Travel for Care, helping cover costs so families can access treatments their kids need.
