WASHINGTON PARISH, La. (WGNO) — A teenager is dead after drowning on Friday, July 4, according to the Washington Parish Sheriff’s Office.
WPSO officials report that the incident happened at the White Sands Lake Beach near Franklinton.
WPSO officials said when deputies arrived, 16-year-old Dyquell Deadre Gross was found unresponsive. He was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
