ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The University of New Mexico (UNM) president and members of university leadership will be holding a press conference on Friday, August 1, at 3:00 p.m. to address campus safety. The press conference will be streamed on this page.
This comes a week after a deadly shooting happened on UNM campus that took the life of a 14-year-old boy. On July 25, campus police officers were called to Mes Vista Hall around 1:36 a.m. to reports of shots fired. The 14-year-old was found dead inside a dorm room at Casas Del Rio. A 19-year-old was also injured in the shooting.
