GERMANTOWN, Wis. — If your family is planning to trick-or-treat this year, you will likely see plenty of ghosts and jack-o’-lanterns outside houses across Wisconsin.
However one Germantown home, is doing much more than that.
Brian Sweet spends months setting up thousands of lights and syncing them to music. For the past nine years his “Lightmare Before Christmas” display has gained a loyal audience who come out each year to see the show. While it takes months of work, Sweet said it is all worth it to bring smiles to his neighbors.
“I will look out the window at like 8 p.m. and just see what people are doing,” Sweet said. “Sometimes they will be having a dance party out there or see all the cameras filming. It gives me great joy to see people enjoying it.”
“Lightmare Before Christmas” will remain on display through Halloween night. It is dismantled on Nov. 1 so that Sweet can begin working on his equally impressive Christmas lights display.
