We want to know what you think as the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement office carries out controversial operations in Maine for a second week.
The U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s “Operation Catch of the Day” officially launched last week, with federal officials saying they had arrested more than 100 people and were targeting about 1,400 individuals in Maine who are the “worst of the worst” criminals in the country illegally.
Their efforts were cheered on by many Mainers who voted for stronger borders, but have also been met with vocal protests in a number of communities. Gov. Janet Mills has demanded that President Trump withdraw ICE agents from Maine.
