Leah Van Dale recently spoke about the dynamic in her household since her departure from WWE, especially with her husband, Corey Graves, still working as a prominent commentator for the company. During an appearance on SiriusXM’s Page Six Radio, Van Dale explained how the change has ultimately helped them separate their personal lives from the professional wrestling business.
When asked how they reconcile their different experiences with WWE, Van Dale admitted it was challenging at first. “It was difficult, I guess, at first because I think it’s, I don’t want to really watch the show. I’m just so removed from it,” she said. “But I’m so supportive of my husband. It’s been his dream his entire life to get into the WWE and he loves it, and so of course I’m so supportive of that.”
A Healthier Balance
Van Dale revealed that being away from the company has allowed them to stop the business from dominating their home life, which she feels has been a positive change for their relationship.
“I do feel like it’s helped us a lot to separate our real life from that world because for so long, for years, it was like we would take it home with us, we talk about it and it was just all consuming,” Van Dale explained. “So it’s kind of nice now to, he’s home, he can talk about whatever he needs to talk about and I understand it, because I was there. I get it, but then we can, ‘Okay, let’s stop talking about that,’ and we can move on to real life, which is great.”
Leah Van Dale’s contract with WWE expired while she was on maternity leave, a situation she has been very open about in recent interviews. Corey Graves continues doing commentary on NXT and WWE Monday Night Raw. Check out Leah Van Dale’s interview below.
