Springfield-Greene County Health (SGCHD) invites media to attend the Animal Control groundbreaking ceremony at 1 p.m. Friday, July 25, at the site for the new shelter located at 3303 W Division St.
Leaders from the Health Department, City of Springfield and Greene County will mark the beginning of construction on a new community animal shelter.
The new shelter is a significant step forward in improving animal welfare services in Greene County. The facility will expand shelter capacity, modernize care spaces and advance the role of animal services in supporting public health.
