LA Galaxy have signed experienced midfielder Raheem Edwards to a contract through the 2024 season with a club option for 2025, the team announced Friday.

The Toronto native holds a United States green card, meaning he will not occupy an international roster spot.

In six MLS seasons, Edwards has recorded 92 regular-season appearances for Toronto FC, Chicago Fire FC, CF Montréal, Minnesota United FC and LAFC. He has five goals and 13 assists in his MLS career.

The midfielder previously played for Galaxy manager Greg Vanney at his hometown Toronto FC in 2016 and 2017.

Edwards has made four appearances and three starts for the senior Candian Men’s National Team, all in friendly competition and most recently in 2018 against New Zealand.
