The Knicks finally made their first – and only – draft selection Thursday night with Mohamed Diawara out of France with the No. 51 pick in the second round.
Things got interesting when New York was on the clock at No. 50 and traded it to the Clippers in return for No. 51 and the rights to 32-year-old Luka Mitrovic – the 60th pick in the 2015 NBA Draft.

Diawara is a 6-foot-9 wing who last played for Cholet Basket in the LNB Pro A league in France, where he averaged 5.8 points, 3.1 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 27 games this past season.
The 20-year-old reportedly has a 7-foot-4 wingspan and a 9-foot-2 standing reach, projecting to have defensive potential with his length.
