Kevin Nash believes WWE is putting Jade Cargill in the wrong role as a babyface instead of as a heel.
Speaking on Kliq This, Kevin Nash praised Cargill’s growth in the ring but emphasized that her character doesn’t fit a babyface role. He insisted that, despite some critics, she has improved significantly since her time in AEW.
“A lot of people give Jade like, ‘Oh, she hasn’t improved at all.’ I’m like, are you watching the same f**king matches? She hasn’t improved since AEW?’ She’s improved vastly.” Nash said, “The fu*king problem with Jade is she’s a fu*king heel. She’s not a babyface. I mean, she’s a natural heel.”
“She looks like a f**king Marvel comic character. She’s The Narcissist. I just don’t get it, man.” Giving his advice to her, Nash added, “I tell her, ‘Fu*king, you should be a heel.’” Explaining why she hasn’t turned heel yet.
“I think that will be the next progression we go. Because the money is with her, and the match she just had, that’s a rematch there. If you turn her heel, she’s got, then she’s got Rhea to work with. I just don’t see her as a babyface.” [H/T: 411mania]
Jade Cargill responds to critics who claim she’s being pushed to the moon in WWE
On The Babyfaces Podcast, when asked about her rise in wrestling and the reactions from critics and fans, Cargill compared herself to Roman Reigns, saying, “I’m four years and some change now in this industry,” Jade Cargill began. “And I think the other person I think had the less amount of time was Bianca (Belair) and I think she was 11 years in the game, and people want things so quick and so fast because I’ve been pushed to the moon because I’m gonna be a star and people see that.”
“People used to say stuff about Roman (Reigns). Now, everybody loves Roman. People wanna see Roman more and so, and I’ve had people like Bryan Danielson who literally was like, ‘It took me seven years to feel comfortable. How are you doing this? This is wild. I used to go out and sing the anthem to feel comfortable.’ ‘I don’t know. I’m just out here doing it.’ I always had that thing about me so, you just can’t let people get you down. That’s society. Negativity feeds on negativity.”
