METAIRIE, La. (WGNO) — The south bound lanes of the Causeway Bridge were shut down due to a crash Friday morning, June 27.
The Causeway Police Department announced the closure on X (Twitter). Officers report a truck carrying a trailer across the bridge reportedly experienced a blowout causing it to jackknife.
No injuries were reported.
As of 7:10 a.m. all lane have been reopened.
