EUGENE, Or. (ABC 36 NEWS NOW) – University of Kentucky’s Carli Makarawu won the 200m at the NCAA Outdoor Championships on Friday.
Coming out of lane nine, Makarawu posted a personal best of 19.84 seconds. That marks the seventh best time in NCAA history, and it also broke the Zimbabwe national record.

This is Makarawu’s second national title this season, he also won the 200m at the NCAA Indoor Championships.
