BARTHOLOMEW COUNTY, Ind. — A 15-year-old is in critical condition following an alleged accidental shooting in Bartholomew County.
According to the Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Office, around 7:02 p.m. on Friday, police responded to a call to the Columbus Regional Hospital for an alleged accidental shooting.
The victim was transported to the hospital from what is believed to be the scene of the shooting in the Petersville area.
The victim received treatment before being lifeflighted to IU Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. The victim remains in critical condition.
The investigation remains ongoing.
