Jonesboro Public Schools (JPS) has entered into a partnership with Dynamic Integrated Security (DIS). Beginning in the 2025-2026 school year, DIS will deploy Commissioned School Security Officers (CSSO) on JPS campuses to prevent and protect students, teachers and staff against potential threats.
“For Jonesboro Public Schools, ‘A Legacy of Excellence,’ isn’t just a motto—it’s a commitment to the students and families we serve,” said Misty Doyle, superintendent. “This dedication extends to safety, which is reflected in our proactive leadership and partnership with Dynamic Integrated Security and its top-tier Commissioned School Security Officers.”
DIS’s Commissioned School Security Officers are armed security personnel with military backgrounds. With more than 90 hours of intensive training, they are equipped to respond immediately in emergency situations, such as active shooters, to aid in prevention and abatement. All DIS Commissioned School Security Officers also have expertise in tactical combat medicine and experience delivering youth mental health first aid.
“We’ve worked tirelessly to create a safe, secure learning environment for everyone on our campuses,” said Todd Nelson, the district’s safety and security director. “We’re proud to lead the state in launching this partnership with Dynamic Integrated Security, adding another tool to strengthen our efforts to protect our schools.”
Founded by former members of the Israeli Defense Forces, DIS offers a variety of customized security solutions beyond Commissioned School Security Officers, including command and control systems, video surveillance, weapon detection K-9 services, security consulting, government and corporate services, access control and executive protection.
“There are many reasons to love Jonesboro, including this community’s commitment to the safety of our youth,” said Mayor Harold Copenhaver. “The additional investment in Commissioned School Security Officers by Jonesboro Public Schools will make families feel even more confident their children are safe while they receive a first-class education.”
