Newer construction by a longstanding Metairie homebuilder leads this week’s highest priced homes sold in the Greater New Orleans area.
204 Vincent Ave., a Metairie Club Gardens luxury home custom built in 2023 by Fairway Development Corporation, sold for $3.1 million on June 26. Since 1999, Fairway Development Corp. has specialized in custom-built, new construction luxury homes and provided general contractor services for residential and commercial projects across the Greater New Orleans area.
“Fairway Development is one of the best builders in the city – every home has so much attention to detail with high-end finishes, modern layouts and designs that keep up with the latest trends in new construction. 204 Vincent is a perfect example of the top-of-the-line homes they build that blend classic elegance with top-tier amenities,” said Peggy King Bruce, Realtor with McCarthy Group Realtors.
Bruce was the listing agent on the June 26 transaction, while Realtor Debby Valentino Counce, with Latter & Blum | Compass, was the sales agent. The three-story brick home is in the heart of Old Metairie on the oak-lined Vincent Ave. It features 6 bedrooms, 6 en-suite bathrooms, 3 half bathrooms, and 5,907 square feet of living space on a 57′ x 150′ lot of 6,851 total square feet.
Bruce represented the builder two years ago when the current sellers bought the home. She said the new buyers “wanted newer construction and fell in love with everything about the home. It only lasted about a week or two on the market,” she said.
Interestingly, the buyers had a golf simulator in their previous home, and 204 Vincent Ave. also has a state-of-the-art golf simulation space on the second floor. The sellers also installed a whole house generator and a heated saltwater pool, which is joined in the backyard by a large, covered porch with a full outdoor kitchen, automated screen system, backyard turf, and an outdoor shower with a half bathroom.
The first floor features 12-foot ceilings with triple crown molding and the entire home has 7.5″ wide French white oak flooring throughout, with no carpet. The spacious floor plan includes a downstairs primary suite with a spa-like bathroom; a private office with coffered ceilings; a formal dining room with custom wall molding; and an appointed powder room featuring a high-gloss finish, designer lighting and mirrors by companies such as Visual Comfort, Curry & Company, Gabby, and more.
The primary suite also features a gas fireplace, spa-like bathroom with Kohler polished nickel plumbing fixtures, large vanities separated by a linen storage cabinet, a marble walk-in glass shower with a rain-head, handheld sprayer and a wall shower head, a freestanding soaking tub, a private water closet room, and separate walk-in custom closets by Ruffino’s Closet Systems.
A stylish mudroom and laundry room are also located downstairs. There is a butler’s pantry with a Sonic-style ice maker, sink, and secondary dishwasher. The chef’s kitchen consists of a 48″ Wolf range, SubZero fridge/freezer, Quartzite countertops, warming drawer, and microwave drawer. An informal dining area flows into the family room, featuring a gas-start wood-burning fireplace, custom built-ins, and views of the landscaped backyard.
The second floor features four en-suite bedrooms, a laundry room, and the golf simulator room. The third floor includes a full bathroom and flexible living space ideal for a guest suite, kids’ retreat, gym, or further office space. The home is elevator ready for access to all three floors.
Extra amenities include an attached double-car garage, Cat 5 wiring, surround sound, camera surveillance system, dehumidifier, Reme Halo air purification, on-demand water heaters, subsurface drainage, and an irrigation system.
