Israeli airstrikes on Lebanon have intensified in recent days, with nearly 20 reported on Thursday.
At least four paramedics have been killed in an Israeli drone strike near the government hospital in the town of Marjeyoun in southern Lebanon on Friday. The attack follows a series of air attacks in densely populated areas overnight.
The hospital has since been evacuated and operations ceased at the facility, according to Lebanon’s National News Agency.
The news outlet also reported that Israeli warplanes conducted two consecutive raids on Beirut’s southern suburbs, targeting the area near the Lebanese University in the Laylaki – Hadath area. The raids targeted more than one building in the area. The Quds News Network (QNN) reported that the airstrike resulted in casualties.

In the early hours of Friday, the Israeli army launched a series of airstrikes across southern Lebanon, with significant damage reported in various regions including the suburb of Dahiyeh.
Beirut National Airport
An airstrike hit a building in the town of Toul, Nabatieh, while other strikes targeted areas between Kawthariyet al-Siyad, and Ghassanieh. The areas of Aita al-Shaab, Kfarsir, and Yaroun were also bombarded.
In the Tyre district, a home in Deir Qanoun al-Nahr, and another near the official school in Bourj Rahal were hit. Multiple airstrikes also targeted the outskirts of Abbasieh.

Earlier, an Israeli airstrike destroyed a building near Darwish Center on the Shoukin-Nabatieh road, with injuries reported, according to the news agency.
Dozens of loud explosions were also heard in the Mrayjeh area in the southern suburb of Beirut, in the early hours, due to an Israeli air raid, reported Al Mayadeen.
The targeted site was close to the Beirut International Airport, and also includes health facilities, emergency services facilities, and schools.

These raids occurred with multiple attempts of ground incursions into Lebanese border towns by Israeli forces. However, Hezbollah said it killed 17 Israeli soldiers on Thursday alone, according to Al Mayadeen. The Israeli military confirmed on Thursday that eight of its soldiers, including three captains, were killed in southern Lebanon.
