The Irish Open will return to the prestigious Mount Juliet Estate in 2022, and tickets for the historic event will go on sale this coming Thursday, December 2, when pre-registered fans will have exclusive access to a limited number of tickets at a special Launch Price.

Mount Juliet Estate last year hosted the island of Ireland’s national open for the first time since 1995 and for just the fourth time in the event’s history. After a hugely successful hosting in 2021, the Irish Open will return to the County Kilkenny venue for a second successive time when the 67th edition is played from June 30 – July 3.

Irish Open, tickets

Tickets will go on sale on Thursday December 2 at 9:00am, when pre-registered fans and previous Irish Open ticket purchasers will have an exclusive priority window to purchase a limited number of tickets available at a special Launch Price.

Last year, the returning home fans watched Australian star Lucas Herbert triumph in wire-to-wire fashion, sealing a three-stroke victory for a second DP World Tour title. The promising 25-year-old has since won for the first time on the PGA TOUR, at October’s 2021 Butterfield Bermuda Championship.

The action in 2022 will begin with the Celebrity Pro-Am which brings together celebrities from the world of sport and entertainment and the stars of the DP World Tour. The tournament will then tee off on the Jack Nicklaus-designed parkland on Thursday June 30, with live music acts for the tournament week still to be confirmed.

Prior to the 2021 edition, Mount Juliet had hosted the Irish Open for three consecutive years in 1993, 1994 and 1995, won by Nick Faldo of England, Bernhard Langer of Germany and Sam Torrance of Scotland respectively.
