NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) – Yup, you read that right! The National Hurricane Center has downgraded the chance to see tropical development from INVEST 93L in the Gulf to 10% both over the next 48-hours and 7-days.

According to the NHC, the “broad low pressure area is moving inland over southeastern Louisiana, and the associated shower and thunderstorm activity remains disorganized and located mainly to the west and southwest of the center.”

The NHC expects to see very little development this afternoon into Thursday evening and further weakening as the center moves farther inland on Friday.
Both Thursday and Friday are forecasted to have heavy rainfall that could bring localized flash flooding to parts of the north-central Gulf Coast.
