Travel
One is in Boston.

If exploring fantastic trails is on your list of summer adventures, two of the best are in New England, according to AllTrails.
The outdoor discovery platform released a list of 25 trails to explore in 2025, and the Freedom Trail in Boston and the Appalachian Trail in New Hampshire made the cut.
Walking the 2.5-mile Freedom Trail, which connects 16 historical sites and attracts more than 4 million people annually, is “a must-do” in the city of Boston, according to the site.
“July 2026 marks America’s 250th birthday, but celebrations throughout Massachusetts kick off in 2025,” AllTrails wrote. “History buffs and curious travelers alike can step back in time and recall the events that led to the signing of the Declaration of Independence.”
Travelers can get a free audio tour of the Freedom Trail on the National Park Service website, noted the site.

This year, the Appalachian Trail Conservancy is marking 100 years of managing the Appalachian Trail, which AllTrails calls “one of the most treasured thru-hikes in the world.”
The more than 2,000 mile-long trail stretches through 14 states and more than 3 million people visit it every year.
“One of our favorite hikes is tucked away in White Mountain National Forest—the Smarts Mountain via the Appalachian and Ranger Trails,” AllTrails wrote. “This scenic loop stretches just over 7 miles and offers an inspiring challenge. And if mountain vistas are your thing — you’ve come to the right place.”
Other trails on the list include the Tuatapere Hump Ridge Track in New Zealand, the Slaughter Pen Trail in Arkansas, and the Sentiero della Pace in Italy.
