New Orleanians love making their way down 30-A during the summer, a stretch of land known as the Emerald Coast, with its bright blue water, tasteful architecture, and slate of top dining restaurants. From tapas and chocolate to casual tacos and multiple rooftop dining options in the tiny area, there’s no need to spend a day of vacation toiling away in the kitchen at the beach house.
In this update, we’re adding LaCo, a Latin restaurant where diners can’t go wrong with a menu that has something for everyone; Crabby Steve’s, a classic beachfront bar for casual dining; and the Citizen, an upscale restaurant in Alys Beach where the longtime chef from Commander’s Palace has landed. The restaurants are listed geographically from west to east.
