HANAHAN, S.C. (WCBD) – Firefighters in Hanahan rescued an injured dog trapped under a dumpster.
The firefighters were called to help a dog in distress Saturday after officials said it was heard whining from underneath a commercial dumpster.

“Using specialized equipment, crews carefully lifted and stabilized the dumpster to reach the animal,” said Hanahan Fire Dept.
Animal control safety removed the dog and took it to be treated for its injuries.
“We are thankful for the teamwork that made this rescue possible and hope the dog makes a full recovery,” the department said.
