A former WWE mainstay and one of the most memorable authority figures of her era, Vickie Guerrero, could be making a return to the company soon. According to a new report from Fightful Select, Guerrero has been telling people that she is set to be back with WWE for upcoming appearances.
A Return “In a Few Weeks”
The report states that Fightful has “learned that Vickie Guerrero had told numerous people recently that she would be back with WWE for some things ‘in a few weeks.’”
While the specific nature of her return was not explicitly stated, the timing has led to speculation that she could be involved in the upcoming all-women’s Evolution Premium Live Event, which is scheduled to take place on Sunday, July 13.
WWE and AEW History
Vickie Guerrero has a long and storied history with WWE. After the passing of her husband, the legendary Eddie Guerrero, she became a regular on-screen character in 2005. She developed into one of the most effective heel authority figures in company history, serving as the General Manager for both Raw and SmackDown and creating her iconic, ear-splitting catchphrase, “Excuse me!”
After leaving WWE, she made several appearances for All Elite Wrestling, primarily as a manager and occasionally on AEW Dark commentary. During that time, she claimed that her work with the rival promotion had caused WWE to “cut her off.” However, any strained feelings appear to have subsided, as she was shown on camera as a guest during a SmackDown show last September.
As of now, neither WWE nor Vickie Guerrero has officially confirmed her return. Fightful noted that they had reached out to WWE for comment but had not received a response.
