A violent crash in Los Angeles’ Beverly Grove neighborhood left four people injured, including three who were hospitalized, after their car slammed into a tree and burst into flames Friday morning.
The incident occurred shortly before 2:30 a.m. on Crescent Heights Boulevard near Beverly Boulevard.
Video taken shortly before emergency crews arrived at the scene showed the white BMW on fire as bystanders attempted to help the people inside.
A man with a fire extinguisher eventually came running out to douse the flames. One person remained trapped as police arrived at the scene.
Three of the vehicle’s occupants were later taken to a local hospital in stable condition. A fourth was treated at the scene, a Los Angeles Police Department spokesperson confirmed to KTLA.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
