That’s fast. The rise of AEW has changed the wrestling landscape, as there is now a brand new wrestling promotion offering wrestlers a new platform on the national stage. That is something that has been lacking for a very long time now and has resulted in several wrestlers being able to jump from one promotion to another. Now we might be seeing someone going back to their original promotion after making a jump.

This week’s edition of AEW Dynamite featured a segment involving new World Champion Maxwell Jacob Friedman attacking William Regal, who helped him win the title. Regal was stretchered out of the arena and taken away in an ambulance. According to PWInsider.com, Regal is expected to head back to WWE, despite reports of him signing a three year deal with AEW earlier this year. In addition, according to Fightful Select, there have been talents backstage in AEW who believe Regal is leaving the company. Finally, according to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, “something was going on”, but it was off the record information.
