From CeeDee Lamb to Cooper Kupp, Calvin Ridley to Terry McLaurin, the Giants have played against plenty of elite receivers this season.

But they haven’t faced anyone quite like Tyreek Hill — because there isn’t anyone out there similar to the Chiefs’ five-time Pro Bowler.

“I would definitely say he’s a unique player in this league because of his speed, and his explosiveness, and his quickness, and the fact that he can track the ball and catch the ball downfield,” cornerback James Bradberry said as the Giants prepared to play at Kansas City on Monday night. “A lot of times, faster guys in this league have a hard time tracking the ball, so his uniqueness to be able to do all of that makes him definitely a weapon that we’ve got to keep our eyes on at all times.”

The 5-foot-10 Hill, known as “Cheetah,” because of his explosive speed, is tied for second in the NFL in receptions with 52 and is fifth in receiving yards with 641. He has scored five touchdowns. The Chiefs will use him all over the field, out wide, in the slot and even in the backfield. His versatility is what makes him so difficult to defend.

It is uncertain how the Giants plan to try to limit Hill, whether they will have Bradberry follow Hill wherever he goes, rely on zone coverage or mix and match their looks on him. The Giants have struggled defending the slot (Kupp torched them on Oct. 17 for nine catches, 130 yards and two touchdowns), though they could use Bradberry to cover Hill when he lines up in that spot. Fellow cornerback Adoree’ Jackson has played some slot as well, giving the Giants multiple options if they don’t want to use their usual slot cornerbacks, Darnay Holmes or Julian Love, against Hill.

“I’m comfortable playing wherever,” Bradberry said. “That’s what I watch film for. I prepare myself week-in and week-out to be ready to play wherever they ask me to play.

“I’m definitely up for the challenge if the coaches want me to do that. I’m not going to say no. I’m not going to turn it down. He’s definitely an explosive receiver. We’re all ready for the task on Monday.”
