NEW MEXICO (KRQE) – It’s championship week and teams are getting ready for title games on Saturday. Coaches and players from around the state joined the Friday Night Football crew to discuss their matchups. All championship games will be played on Saturday at 1 p.m.
6A
The class 6A championship game will feature La Cueva and Cleveland for a third consecutive year. La Cueva enters the game as the top seed and undefeated while the Storm has a 10-game win streak.

5A
District 2 rivals Roswell and Artesia are once again on a collision course for the blue trophy. The Coyotes won the regular season meeting 44-0 in the Bulldog Bowl. This game will be played at the Wool Bowl.
4A
Undefeated Bloomfield will host No. 2 St. Pius. It is the first meeting between the teams this season. It is the second title appearance in three years and the first for the Sartans since 2016.
Kidzz Mechanical Kick Return of the Week
3A
The champion of class 3A will complete a perfect season no matter what. Both St. Michaels and Dexter enter the title game undefeated. The game will be played at Ivanhead stadium in Santa Fe.
2A
Defending champion Texico will travel to Santa Rosa. The Lions are back in the championship for the first time since 2012.
