New Orleans voters will have a chance to hear directly from a new generation of leadership at the Fresh Voices Forum – 2025 Mayoral Candidate Event on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at Ye Olde Grande Hall (3036 S. Carrollton Ave).
The forum will feature only candidates who have never before held elected office, giving the public an opportunity to explore fresh perspectives and new ideas for the city’s future. Confirmed candidates include Frank Robert Janusa, Manny Chevrolet Bruno, Frank Scurlock, Russell Butler, Eileen Carter, Renada Collins, Ricky Twiggs, and Joe Bikulege Jr.
The event will open from 5:00 to 5:30 p.m. for candidate and campaign access, followed by media and general public access from 5:30 to 6:00 p.m. The forum will begin promptly at 6:00 p.m.
Admission is free, but registration is required by August 8 at 5:30 p.m. through the Eventbrite link. Organizers may extend the deadline if needed. Those planning to livestream or record for broadcast are asked to indicate this on their registration so technical arrangements can be made in advance.
The Fresh Voices Forum promises an evening of candid discussion and community engagement, offering residents a unique chance to meet the people vying to shape New Orleans’ future.
