Former WWE and NXT Women’s Tag Team Champion Isla Dawn has made her debut for All Elite Wrestling. The Scottish wrestler appeared on tonight’s AEW Collision, which emanated from her hometown of Glasgow, Scotland.
A Hometown Debut
Dawn’s first appearance for the promotion was an in-ring contest against fellow AEW star Megan Bayne. The match took place in front of a receptive hometown crowd at the OVO Hydro. Despite a strong showing, Dawn was ultimately defeated in the match.
A Decorated Career in WWE
Prior to her AEW debut, Dawn, who wrestled in WWE under the same name, had a seven-year tenure with the company. She was a prominent figure on the NXT UK brand before moving to the main NXT brand in late 2022. It was there she formed a partnership with Alba Fyre and the duo captured the NXT Women’s Tag Team Championship at Stand & Deliver in April 2023.
After being drafted to the SmackDown brand, The Unholy Union unified the NXT and WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships by defeating Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler. They would later be drafted to Raw and won the WWE Women’s Tag Team titles for a second time at Clash at the Castle: Scotland in June 2024. Dawn was released from her WWE contract in February 2025.
Megan Bayne’s Recent Run
Dawn’s opponent, Megan Bayne, has been a rising star in AEW’s women’s division throughout 2025. Since officially signing with the company in February, she has been featured regularly on Dynamite and Collision. Her run has included an AEW Women’s World Championship match against Toni Storm at the Dynasty pay-per-view and a lengthy feud alongside Penelope Ford against the team of Anna Jay and Harley Cameron.
As of this writing, there’s no word from Tony Khan on if Isla Dawn has been signed to a full-time deal.
