NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) – Your Friday storms have arrived bringing heavy rainfall to many spots throughout southeast Louisiana.
There’s a Flood Advisory in effect for Jefferson and Plaquemines parishes until 3 p.m., and another for St. Charles parish until 3:15pm. on Friday.
According to the National Weather Service, between 1-2.5 inches of rain has already fallen with additional amounts on the way.
Expect flooding particularly in low-lying and poorly drained areas, and should you take to the roadways remember: “Turn around don’t drown.”
