Ahead of this weekend’s Premier League action we’re on hand to provide our best advice for Fantasy Premier League, selecting four options we believe should be the leading contenders for your crucial captaincy.
Arsenal continue their push for the Premier League title with a huge game at out-of-form Liverpool, while Manchester City will be keen to increase the pressure on the Gunners when they face Southampton.
Elsewhere Manchester United host Everton, and there’s an all-Midlands match up between in-form Aston Villa and Nottingham Forest. Ahead of Gameweek 30, we look at four of the best Fantasy Premier League captaincy options.
Marcus Rashford vs Everton (H)
Marcus Rashford continues to keep Manchester United’s top four hopes alive and the forward scored a crucial winner as the Red Devils edged Brentford in midweek.
It’s nine goals in his last nine home games for Rashford, who will be confident of adding to that total when Everton visit Old Trafford this weekend.
Rashford’s goal against Brentford was his 121st for Manchester United, moving him level with Andy Cole, and he is closing in on reaching 30 goals in all competitions for the first time in his career.
Marcus Rashford has now scored or assisted 37 goals in all competitions so far this season. This is now his best ever season for goal contributions.

Despite improvement at home under Sean Dyche, Everton have failed to win in four games on the road under the new manager and have conceded 2+ goals in each of those fixtures.
Curiously, Rashford has never scored against Everton in the Premier League, but scored one and laid on two assists during the FA Cup third round meeting between the sides in January.
Ollie Watkins vs Nottingham Forest (H)
Ollie Watkins is in brilliant goalscoring form right now and the forward has netted eight goals in his last ten league appearances for Aston Villa.
Watkins continued his hot-streak as Villa won at Leicester in midweek, a result which continued the club’s fine form since Unai Emery’s arrival as manager.
Only Arsenal have taken more points than Villa since the Spaniard replaced Steven Gerrard and Emery has brought the best from Watkins whose form has moved him back into England contention.
Ollie Watkins is the first player to score in six consecutive @PremierLeague away games since Sergio Agüero in 2017. 🔥

Villa take on a Nottingham Forest side without a win in eight games this weekend, in a clash between two sides at opposite ends of the form table. Forest have not kept a Premier League clean sheet since February 5 and Watkins – whose ownership remains just 17.2% at the time of writing – will be keen to extend that run.
Watkins has now scored 11 league goals this season and is one of just three players – alongside Harry Kane and Mohamed Salah – to have reached 10+ goals in each of the past three campaigns.
Erling Haaland vs Southampton (A)
Erling Haaland will be chomping at the bit to return this weekend, after the Norwegian was forced to sit out of the international break and Manchester City’s 4-1 win over Liverpool.
Haaland has returned to training ahead of this weekend’s clash with bottom-of-the-table Southampton, as the 22-year-old looks to pick up where he left off. Haaland is the leading scorer in FPL and the first to break through the 200-point barrier, as he chases down the Premier League’s single season goal record.
It was NINE goals in three games in all competitions before the international break and those who opted to sell Haaland ahead of his blank gameweek and City’s clash with Liverpool will be scrambling to get him back into their sides ahead of this weekend.

Jack Grealish vs Southampton (A)
If Haaland is deemed unfit to feature, could Jack Grealish be the most attractive Manchester City asset?
Grealish has been in fine form since the season’s restart and produced arguably his best performance in City colours during the club’s emphatic win over Liverpool. Grealish scored one and created another at the Etihad, earning him a season high of 12 FPL points.
In fine form and now he’s in demand 💪

The England international is performing with the confidence we became accustomed to at Aston Villa and has began producing impressive numbers around goal.
He has eight goal contributions in 14 games since the World Cup for Pep Guardiola’s side, having had just one in his previous 14 appearances before Qatar.
