Flutter-owned FanDuel has inked a partnership extension with International Game Technology (IGT) to power its retail sportsbooks across North America until 2028.
cements a relationship forged back in 2019
The four-year contract extension announced by the Rhode Island-based IGT late last week was given a backdated renewal date of September 1, 2024. The deal between the global gambling technology company and FanDuel cements a relationship forged back in 2019, when the latter rolled out its first US brick-and-mortar sportsbook powered by IGT’s PlaySports subsidiary at Meadowlands Racing & Entertainment in New Jersey.
Supplier PlaySports will continue to provide its retail betting solution to FanDuel in addition to iGaming services, including player account management and “access to its in-house trading team.”
In a news release, FanDuel president Christian Genetski stated IGT’s PlaySports arm had helped his firm “deliver a best-in-class customer experience,” which made the brand “America’s No. 1 sportsbook.”
IGT Senior Vice President Joe Bertolone said after the deal extension that PlaySports was committed to helping clients unlock the potential of retail sports betting and via product offering “exceptional player experience and reliable technology.”
According to the IGT news release there are “27 FanDuel sportsbooks across 20 North American jurisdictions” that all contain PlaySports pads and kiosks.
