Even with the temperatures dropping and snow dusting nearby mountains, St. George is still hosting several events this week, including outdoor festivals.
Events this week:
- Beginning on Friday, Oct 15, the Artists of Washington Art Exhibit at the Red Cliff Gallery will take place. From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct 15 through Nov 4, this free art exhibit will allow anyone in the community to view local artists’ work and mingle with the local artists. - The Redstone Highland Games & Festival is also this weekend starting Oct 15 through the 16. On Friday the events will start at 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and the 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. On Saturday, the events will start at 8:30 a.m. and go till 6 p.m. This is a free event with live music, highland games, and vendor booths.
- The Western Sky Warbird Aviation Museum is doing a “warbird fly-in” this weekend Friday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The fly-n will take place at the St. George Airport, and this is a ticketed event. Those 17 and under have free admission while 18 and up pay $5 per ticket.
- For those looking for a fall or Halloween-themed activity, the sixth annual Scarecrow Walk and Haunted Maze at the Red Hills Desert Garden began this week and will go till Oct 31.
