Lindsay Lohan has never forgotten the advice Jamie Lee Curtis gave to her over 20 years ago on the set of “Freaky Friday.”
“She said, ‘How you show up on set is how the whole crew feels. You control the energy that goes on set, so always bring your best self,’” the actress, 39, exclusively told Page Six at a special screening of “Freakier Friday” Monday evening.
The two played a mother and daughter who magically swap bodies in the 2003 comedy, which was filmed when Lohan was still a teenager.
The long-awaited sequel, which hits theaters on August 8, finds them in another body-switching predicament, only this time it involves Lohan’s on-screen daughter and Curtis’ on-screen soon-to-be step-granddaughter.
The “Mean Girls” star confessed that it was “emotional” returning to film the sequel after so much time had passed.
“It’s very full circle for me,” she explained, “and it was just a really exciting day when we were first there, all together.”
Lohan is also a mother in real life. She shares a son, Luai, 2, with husband Bader Shammas, who she married in 2022.
When asked to identify what she loves most about motherhood, the “Parent Trap” star struggled to answer.
“All of it!” she enthused. “There’s not one favorite part, it’s all of it.”
And her “Freaky Friday” co-star has also loved seeing her grow up and become a mother.
“Lindsay being grown up is something I’ve watched happen,” Curtis, 66, exclusively told Page Six. “And I’ve enjoyed watching this happen.”
“We’re friends, we’ve seen each other for 20 years. And then I watched her get married, I watched her have a baby…and it’s beautiful to see.”
