President Trump is threatening to federalize the nation’s capital after a teenage alumni of the Department of Government Efficiency was brutally beaten. Edward Coristine, who earned national acclaim for his nickname, Big Balls, was identified as the victim in the bloody attack.
Elon Musk confirmed on X that a gang of about a dozen young men tried to carjack Coristine and a. young lady. He said the former DOGE staffer “ran to defend her and was severely beaten to the point of concussion.”
DC Police told the Washington Post that at least two people had been arrested in connection with the attack.
“It is time to federalize DC,” Musk wrote on X.
President Trump addressed the violent attack at a Tuesday afternoon press conference as well as a lengthy Truth Social post.
“The most recent victim was beaten mercilessly by local thugs,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.
He said crime in Washington was out of control and said local “youths” and gang members were randomly attacking, mugging, maiming and shooting innocent citizens.
“They are not afraid of Law Enforcement because they know nothing ever happens to them, but it’s going to happen now,” Trump declared. The president called on criminals as young as 14-years-old to be prosecuted as adults.

In July, Eric Tarpinian-Jachym, 21, a 16-year-old boy and a woman were shot in what appeared to be a drive-by shooting. Tarpinian-Jachym, who worked for Rep. Ron Estes (R-KS), later died.
And a House staffer was the victim of an armed carjacking in Navy Yard in May. In a separate incident a mob teens took over a Navy Yard park – terrorizing local citizens.
President Trump warned city leaders that if they continued to ignore the epidemic of crime he would have no choice but to intervene.
“If D.C. doesn’t get its act together, and quickly, we will have no choice but to take Federal control of the City, and run this City how it should be run, and put criminals on notice that they’re not going to get away with it anymore,” the president said.
“Perhaps it should have been done a long time ago, then this incredible young man, and so many others, would not have had to go through the horrors of Violent Crime. If this continues, I am going to exert my powers, and FEDERALIZE this City.”

God bless the young man known as Big Balls. This red-blooded American hero saw a young woman in distress. Facing insurmountable odds, he rushed into the mob of thugs without any concern to his own well-being and rescued the lady.
Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT) suggested the 19-year-old receive the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the highest civilian award in the United States. Edward’s heroic actions are indeed worthy of a presidential commendation and perhaps even a personal visit to the Oval Office. Big Balls, indeed.
