WICHITA, Kan. – Wichita State men’s golf head coach Judd Easterling released the 2025-26 tournament schedule for his team on Friday afternoon.
The 2025-26 season will be Easterling’s sixth at the helm of the Shocker men’s golf program.
Last year, the Shockers put together an overall strong season, finishing top five in four of ten tournaments, including a win in their home tournament, the Grier Jones Shocker Invitational on October 8. The Shockers finished ninth at the 2025 American Championship, led by Jose Miguel Ramirez, who finished as individual runner-up, the best individual finish by any Shocker at the American Championship in history.
Easterling’s group returns their three top players from last season in Ramirez, Jose Carletta, and Mitchell Revie. Caden Cox also returns for his sophomore year after posting solid numbers as a true freshman last season.
The Shockers added five new players in the offseason, with three freshmen and two transfers. Jace Chaney, TJ Quinn, and Rhett O’Rear join the Shockers after impressive high school careers, while Emilio Arellano Llamas joins the crew after two years at Indian Hills Community College, and Michael Robson comes as a graduate transfer from Oklahoma City (NAIA) after two years of being an NAIA All-American. Llamas will be the fourth Shocker to come to Wichita State after spending time at Indian Hills.
The 2025-26 men’s golf schedule takes the Shockers across the country to ten states for ten regular-season tournaments. The season opens for the Shockers on September 11 at the Ram Masters Invitational in Fort Collins, Colo., hosted by Colorado State. The team then heads to Lincoln, Nebraska, to play in the Cornhuskers’ Git-R-Done Invitational beginning on September 22. The team then turns around quickly to head to Madison, Ill., for the SIUE Dolenc Invitational on September 29.
After Illinois, the Shockers return home to defend their home title in the fourth annual Grier Jones Shocker Invitational hosted October 5-7 at Sand Creek Station in Newton, Kan. The fall season concludes for the Shockers a month later at Hawaii’s Kapolei Invitational in Kapolei, Hawaii, beginning on November 5.
The spring season begins for the Shockers on February 16 at the Border Olympics Invitational in Laredo, Texas, and continues a week later at the Lake Las Vegas Collegiate in Las Vegas, Nev., on February 23. The Shockers then head to Lake Charles, La., to compete in the Golden Nugget Invitational on March 2.
After almost a month off, the Shockers will head to Maricopa, Ariz., for the Wyoming Cowboy Classic at Ak-Chin Southern Dunes Golf Club, beginning on March 31. The regular season ends for Wichita State in Columbia, Mo., at the Tiger Invitational, which starts on April 6.
The 2026 American Championship runs April 27-29 at the Ritz-Carlton Members Club in Sarasota, Fla.
