(KRON) — A couple of alleged thieves were arrested after deputies say they broke into a Novato elementary school overnight Monday and made off with five portable speakers from the school grounds.
The Marin County Sheriff’s Office says its deputies responded to the burglary at Loma Verde School and discovered that the suspects had removed a window panel to gain access to the school.
MCSO says that campus surveillance footage caught the duo leaving with several items. The suspects have been identified as two Novato residents, 46-year-old Enrique Ramirez and 53-year-old Margaurite Jorgensen. The sheriff’s office says that Ramirez is currently on probation for a theft-related charge.

The stolen speakers were recovered from Ramirez’s home and were returned to Loma Verde School, says MCSO. Both suspects were booked into the Marin County Jail where they face burglary charges.
The recovered speakers are worth approximately $350.
