A driver was hurt after video shows him crashing into a motel in Hollywood, leaving a gaping hole behind.
It happened at around 2:59 a.m. at the Curtin Inn and Suites.
Police said the driver lost control, struck a city light pole and then slammed into the motel at 1501 South Federal Highway.
Surveillance video shows the vehicle slamming into what employees said was a storage and supply area of the building. Glass flies, and the vehicle comes to a stop.
Police said the driver had to be extricated from the car. Video shows officers and fire rescue personnel freeing him and placing him onto a stretcher as he yells in pain.
The driver was rushed to the hospital. His condition was not immediately known.
No one inside the motel was hurt.
