- This cohort secured US$894,000 in investments during the programme
- Startups tackled clean energy, healthtech & inclusion, advancing Malaysia’s innovation economy
ADA Biotech Sdn Bhd, a sustainability-driven company that transforms agricultural waste into biodegradable products, won the Judges’ Favourite Startup award at the Cyberview Living Lab® Accelerator (CLLA) Programme Cohort 20 Demo Day, beating nine other startups for the US$1,177 (RM5,000) grand prize.
Held at RekaScape, Cyberjaya, the event spotlighted ten high-potential startups addressing key national priorities such as sustainable energy, health tech, smart automation, and digital inclusion — aligning with Malaysia’s shift towards a knowledge-based, innovation-driven economy.
This year’s cohort tackled challenges in line with the National Science, Technology and Innovation Policy (DSTIN) and the Malaysia Startup Ecosystem Roadmap 2021–2030, with many focusing on digital transformation, automation, and ease-of-doing-business solutions.
In his opening remarks, Romli Ishak, chairman of Cyberview Sdn Bhd, noted that as Malaysia moves deeper into the digital era, gaining a foothold in technological sovereignty becomes increasingly important. “When we start creating and supporting more Made by Malaysia technology, we can become innovation hubs and retain more value domestically,” he said.
Throughout the five-month programme, participants underwent a rigorous accelerator journey to refine their minimum viable products, strengthen product–market fit, and build commercial and investor readiness — all within the living lab environment of Cyberjaya.
“These startups represent the kind of innovation Cyberview was built to support — solutions that are grounded, scalable, and socially relevant. Whether it’s clean energy for underserved communities or AI that empowers micro-entrepreneurs, we understand how tough it can be to move from ideas to impact,” said Kamarul Ariffin Abdul Samad, CEO of Cyberview Sdn Bhd.
Having nurtured 152 startups through its accelerator, Cyberview remains steadfast in its commitment to building a supportive environment for startups in Cyberjaya — which is also home to the highest concentration of tech companies in the country.
Kamarul added, “As a tech hub developer, our role extends beyond infrastructure. We are strengthening partner networks and expanding access to funding to better support startups. The results speak for themselves — this cohort alone secured US$894,000 (RM3.8 million) in investments from key funding partners including Cradle, MDEC, Jati Growth, MCMC and Nexea, all within the programme period.”

Cyberview noted that this milestone reflects not only the cohort’s strength but also the growing confidence of Malaysia’s funding ecosystem in early-stage innovation. The involvement of key partners in CLLA signals a shared commitment to nurturing high-potential ventures and strengthening the broader Cyberjaya tech ecosystem.
Cumulatively, the Cyberview Living Lab® Accelerator has raised RM267.8 million in investments. Over 70% of CLLA alumni remain active in the market, with several forming international commercial partnerships.
CLLA Cohort 20 began with 23 early-stage startups in Phase 1 in February, narrowing to 17 in Phase 2. From these, ten were selected to pitch at the finale of the programme, Demo Day, drawing an audience of investors, corporates, government agencies, and media representatives.
Among the ecosystem programme’s partners are Cradle, MDEC, Leave a Nest, Nexea, MRANTI, MDV, MTDC, MBAN, pitchIN, Ata Plus Malaysia, 1337 Ventures, Petronas Ventures, Vynn Capital, The Hive Southeast Asia, MVCA and Maxis. Notable alumni include MedKad, MindnRobotics, Lekir Tech, and Mesolitica.
