The Fall 2025 Semester starts on Wednesday in Anaheim.
Nearly 14,000 students across the city return to class, and some with much fanfare.
For example, at Edison Elementary School, officials enlisted a Mariachi band to welcome students and parents as they walked in.
“It’s been so great just to be a part of this school,” said one parent, who herself attended Edison over 25 years ago and was bringing her three children to their first day back. “[It’s been] over 25 years since I was here, and to see everything change over the years…it’s made coming back to school so great.”
Edison Elementary School Principal Suzanne Nichols was just as excited as parents and (some) of the students.
“This is the best community I have ever been in before. These are my families…I want to roll out the red carpet for them because they deserve it,” Nichols told KTLA 5’s Omar Lewis. “We’re doing everything we can to have a successful 2025-26 school year.”
