In a welcome change from last year, Wrigleyville won’t go without the Christkindlmarket this time around.
The popular German-style market took place at its two other Chicago-area locations in 2024, but not in Wrigleyville due to the National Hockey League Winter Classic.
With no hockey games planned this year, the Christkindlmarket is back on the docket.
Organizers shared the news in a Facebook post on Aug. 18, saying the popular holiday event will be returning to all three locations – the Daley Center in Chicago, RiverEdge Park in Aurora and Gallagher Way in Wrigleyville.
Known for offering seasonal goods, German food and hot spiced wine, the markets have become one of the region’s most popular holiday traditions. The Chicago and Aurora locations will open on Friday, Nov. 21, while Wrigleyville won’t begin welcoming visitors until two days later – on Sunday, Nov. 23.
