According to a new report from The Independent, 41-year old Scarborough, Ontario resident Shawn Chan is facing federal stalking charges after showing up at the Florida home of WWE Superstar Liv Morgan.
An FBI probable cause report/affidavit obtained by The Independent, provides a detailed account of the events that led up to Chan’s arrest.
May 26: Chan boards an Air Canada flight to Orlando, telling customs officials upon arrival he would be staying at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida. The affidavit goes on to describe the center as “a state-of-the-art training facility designed to develop well-rounded athletes with aspirations of joining the [WWE]…It does not, however, have any hotel rooms, dorm rooms, or other lodging.”
May 31: Chan traves about two hours west of Orlando to a house that appears to describe that of Liv Morgan. Surveillance footage captured shows Chan arriving at roughly 5:20 p.m. local time, wearing a black shirt, tan shorts, a black baseball hat, and carrying a large black backpack. He approaches the home via the yard, instead of walking up the driveway, going around the property twice. He then enters to the front porch and reaches down around the door mat, believing to be looking for a spare key. Chan then touches around the bottom of the front door, swiping the locking mechanism on the door several times with his hand. He then grabs the front door handle and leans into the door making an attempt to open it.
After Chan was not able to successfully enter the home, from outside the home, he retrieves a Sig MCX .177 air rifle (pellet gun) from the front porch wall. It is noted this type of rifle has the ability to fire metal pellets up to 600 feet per second. In the surveillance video from the residence, Chan can be seen sitting on the front porch holding the rifle, before standing up and walking over to the front door.
After waiting for more than two-hours for Morgan to return to her residence, Chan leaves a note near some packages that had been delivered prior. In the note, Chan says that he had been wronged by members of an online gaming community and that he only came to her home for a friendly visit, just wanting to let Morgan know he was there. Furthermore, it is said Chan’s note also included his personal address and personal phone number.
June 3: Chan appears at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, where Morgan was taping for an upcoming WWE special. Security personnel happened to recognized Chan from the surveillance video, and immediately notified local police, who then took him into custody.
During a search of Chan’s belongings, officers found two bottles of liquid containing writing in Chinese. When officers asked Chan what the liquids were, it is said Chan told the officers they were medicines, one of which was to treat injuries, such as bleeding. The affidavit also notes that besides the liquids, in Chan’s possession was a Canadian passport in his name, with an issue date of May 26, 2025, the same day he flew to Orlando.
Morgan later told local police she was out of town when Chan was at her home and that she did not know him.
Chan, who was indicted this past Wednesday, June 25, is presently being held in the Pasco County Detention Center, and scheduled to appear in Orlando, Florida federal court on July 18 for arraignment on one count of interstate domestic violence. If he is convicted, he could face up to five-years in prison.

Morgan is currently out of action, after suffering a separated shoulder, right after the start of her match against Kairi Sane on the June 16 episode Raw. Morgan landed awkwardly on her shoulder after Sane took her down to the mat. Morgan will require surgery and will out of in-ring action for several months. WWE has yet to officially address the status of the Women’s Tag Team Championships. Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez regained the belts back on Raw after WrestleMania Night 2 from Becky Lynch and Lyra Valkyria.
During a backstage segment on Friday’s SmackDown, Raw General Manager Adam Pearce and SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis were discussing the Women’s Tag Team Title situation, only to be interrupted by R-Truth and then Aleister Black.
