In February 2026, New Orleans airport passengers will be able to fly nonstop daily to Las Vegas and Los Angeles courtesy of Breeze Airways, following an announcement by the Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport (MSY).
The flight to and from Las Vegas was originally planned for February 2025 but pushed back a year later, while the MSY to LA flight returns after ending in 2023.
This announcement continues a string of nonstop flights introduced by Breeze Airways out of the New Orleans airport. This year, Breeze Airways also announced direct nonstop flights to Tampa, Charleston, Myrtle Beach, and Savannah. Breeze Airways operates more than 275 year-round and seasonal routes to more than 75 cities in over 30 states. Breeze Airways launched in May 2021, bringing premium air service to secondary markets on its fleet of Airbus A220-300 aircraft.
It has been a positive year thus far for the Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport.
In addition to flights added by Breeze Airways, several airlines also announced new destinations for New Orleans airport passengers, including:
In January 2025, MSY introduced a fresh brand identity positioning itself as a global gateway to New Orleans’ rich cultural heritage. The new brand and look – an updated Fleur de Lis symbol, refined with clean, streamlined lines that suggest an aircraft taking flight – were unveiled before an estimated 125,000 passengers arrived in New Orleans for Super Bowl LIX.
For the fourth year in a row, MSY received a top award for “Best Airport in North America” (5 to 15 million passengers per year) from the Airports Council International (ACI) World’s 2024 Airport Service Quality (ASQ) program. The ASQ awards highlight the world’s best airports as judged by their customers who are surveyed while they are in the airport. MSY is one of only three airports in North America to win Best Airport recognition among those serving 5 to 15 million passengers per year.
